Paje by Kite

PajebyKite in Paje, Zanzibar is by far the most Rock n Roll kite school in the world. Let me introduce you to the coolest crew in town, the gang at the PajebyKite centre! A group of all female instructors from over the world, who have come together to work doing what they love, in a place that they love.

One of my best friends, Nina Dix is here teaching for her second season. Nina is the reason I came to Paje. We met in Taiba last year. When she told me just how amazing the kiting and PajebyKite were I just had to come and Check it out for myself.

Then we have Mia and our trainee instructor Denise who have come from Germany, funnily enough I also know Mia from her past kite trips to Brazil. Yasmina is Danish but has come over from Tarifa where she lives and works. Keeping us all in check are Brad, the centre manager and the gorgeous and sweet office chic Kathy from Germany.

PajebyKite shares the same location as the hotel PajebyNight, nestled amongst the palm trees and sand, beside a huge swimming pool, not a bad place to work at all!

We have a 2 storey wooden structure with the reception area and shop on the ground floor, next the aptly named Armoury, were we store our equipment and go to choose our "weapons" of choice for the day. We have a huge selection of equipment to choose from for our lessons.

Above the shop and reception there is a great chill-out area, with "grass" flooring, sofas, bean bags and a great view out to the ocean and the tidal lagoons.
